Timber-FramING

Timber-framing is a traditional method of building with heavy timbers, creating structures using carefully fitted timbers joined and secured by large wooden pegs. For these projects each piece of lumber is custom cut and prepared with joint tenons and mortices, then assembled on-site.

This cut barn is designed simply to keep rain and sun off of the sawmill. Large sliding doors provide flexible wind and sun protection. Open sides provide easy access to load/unload logs, and give space around the mill to work with.
